Jozef Kohl
Jozef joins Origen as Process Engineering Team Leader having previously worked for Carmeuse Europe as Process Engineering Manager (Europe). Jozef will be leading the Engineering team to deliver the pilot plant and support its optimisation. Looking forward, he will spearhead the development and delivery of further kilns based on our oxy-fuel flash calciner technology as a route to zero carbon lime production to enable giga-scale carbon removal
Jamie Steel
With a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a solid work history in the cement and lime industries, Jamie’s role is crucial to the efficiency of the day-to-day running of our On-site projects in order that they complete to cost, budget and time
Apolo Prado
Apolo joins Origen as Senior EC&I Engineer. Apolo brings over twelve years of experience in industrial control, product design, and systems integration. We are excited to have Apolo on board to expand our engineering capabilities!
Apolo will manage the development and implementation of EC&I systems on Calciners for the production of zero-carbon lime. Further managing the development and implementation of EC&I systems on R&D equipment especially the delivery of Technology Roadmap projects
Christine Bertrand
Christine has a strong scientific background in Computational Fluid Dynamics [CFD] modelling, with 30 years of experience at companies such as Blue Circle Industries, Lafarge and Total. She is responsible for the development and scale-up of Origen’s calcination technology
Sam Stabler
Sam joined ORIGEN in 2023 as a Process Engineer, after working as a chemical dosing consultant to the lime industry. Before then, Sam graduated Lamar University with a 1st Class degree in Chemical Engineering and has also represented Great Britain for 10km Track and Cross-Country running. He joins our growing Engineering Team and will be supporting the team in delivering our ZerCaL3 plant into Operation and optimising the engineering towards scale-up
Taylor Cuthbertson
Taylor joined ORIGEN in 2023 as an EC&I Engineer after working for Jacobs and later SM Controls as an Electrical Engineer. She has a 1st Class BEng (hons.) degree from Sheffield Hallam University in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and a MEng in Engineering Management. Taylor has deep experience working with all major PLCs, fault finding and programming, HMI and Scada design and modification, control systems and machine safety, project planning, commissioning and fault finding, she will be working within our EC&I team on ZerCaL3.
James Kelly
James joins us as a Simulation Engineer with a wealth of knowledge he's gained in the motorsport industry over the years, switching to the climate-tech sector to join our mission to restore the atmosphere.🌎
